All students interested in studying one of our master's courses are eligible to apply for postgraduate funding.
The School of Politics, Economics and International Relations is offering bursaries to students. These bursaries are worth £2,500 each and will be awarded in three equal payments during the academic year.
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) studentships
The Department is a member of the ESRC-funded Southeast Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) along with several other universities across London and the southeast. This provides access to funded studentships, which provide a bursary as well as covering fees, for Home or EU applicants. These studentships include 1+3 awards, which include a year of funded study at master's level before three years of support during a doctorate.
If you are considering doctoral study after your master's and would be interested in applying for a studentship, please contact DPGRS and potential supervisors as early as possible so they can assist and support your application.
If you have already studied at the University of Reading, you can receive 10% off the fees of a master's course or the first year of another postgraduate degree (up to a maximum of £1,000).
