Records of William Clowes & Sons

William Clowes founded his printing works in 1803 in Villiers Street, London.  In 1851 they secured the contract for the production of catalogues for the Great Exhibition.  The London premises were destroyed during the Blitz in 1941 and the company moved to Beccles where it continues to prosper.

The collection consists of 80 ledgers reflecting all aspects of the company's work, the majority from the 20th century.
