H.M. Brock Collection

Henry Matthew Brock (1875-1960) was a prolific book and magazine illustrator who found particular success illustrating children's books and also contributed to Punch.

The collection comprises around 2000 books in which Brock's work was published, many periodical volumes and parts, ephemera such as cigarette cards, and pictures, including over 70 original drawings. Many of the works are for children.

The collection also includes the drawing board-desk which belonged to C.E. Brock, H.M. Brock's brother, also a book illustrator.

The collection was donated to the University Library by Lester Corrall in 1994.
