Taking steps to actively manage our own health is important and taking control of the following areas can help our health and wellbeing.

Healthy Eating

It is recommended that we eat a wide range of foods to make sure we are getting a balanced diet and your body is receiving the nutrients it needs.

Physical Activity

Not being physically active can increase our risk of developing heart or circulatory diseases and diabetes.

Mental Wellbeing

Having good mental health allows us to cope with life's challenges.

Smoking

Smoking is one of the biggest causes of preventable deaths in the UK as it damages blood vessels and the toxins in cigarettes affect your body.

Alcohol

Drinking too much can put you at risk of developing heart and circulatory diseases and it can increases your risk of developing dementia or Type 2 diabetes.
