Ladder & Access Equipment Use

INTRODUCTION:

A short 45 minute practical course that covers the use of ladders, these are probably one of the simpler tools used in the workplace and yet 13 workers were killed in 2006 and a further 1200 seriously injured, regretfully this has been an average number year on year, since accurate records began. Do not become one of these statistics.

AIMS: 

To provide staff with the practical skills to use ladders safely.

OBJECTIVES - ON RETURNING TO THE WORK PLACE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Be confident in the selection of the right equipment;
  • Understand the natural and artificial hazards to use of ladders such as RF transmissions, ground faults, pests and weather.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This is an essential pre-requisite for those who use access equipment.
