Spreadable Fats - Verification of Fat Content
The Commission has adopted the following Regulation:
- COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No 2521/98 of 24 November 1998 amending Regulation (EC) No 577/97 laying down certain detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 2991/94 laying down standards for spreadable fats and of Council Regulation (EEC) No 1898/87 on the protection of designations used in the marketing of milk and milk products
The original controls (for application from 1 Janaury 1999) provided for certain tolerances laid down for verification of the declared fat content. these have been found to be too narrow. This Regulation makes certain amendments to provide more appropriate figures and to make consequential changes to the calculations.
