British and Irish chocolates set to be allowed throughout the EU

The common position was approved with one amendment that calls on the Commission to consider how it can protect the interest of developing countries through such measures as "Fair Trade". An amendment proposing the rejection of the common position was rejected by 330 votes to 174 with 22 abstentions.
