The following is an extract from the Minutes of the Agriculture Council held on the 12 June 2017:
The Council decided not to oppose the adoption of a Commission regulation authorising potassium polyaspartate as a stabiliser in wine and to assign E 456 to this food additive [See: 9384/17].
The Commission regulation is subject to the so called regulatory procedure with scrutiny. This means that now that the Council has given its consent, the Commission may adopt the regulation, unless the European Parliament objects.
