HYGIENE/MEAT - Views wanted on a proposal to introduce specific approval for the production of rare burgers

We are seeking your comments on a proposal to introduce specific approval for the production of minced meat / meat preparations intended to be eaten less than thoroughly cooked (rare burgers).

Following the consolidation and publication of the FSA's advice for food business operators and local authorities on the service of burgers which are less than thoroughly cooked, we are now seeking comments from interested parties on a proposal to introduce specific approval for the production of this product based on the systems which food business operators use as part of their HACCP-based food safety management systems.

When: The deadline for comments is 26 September 2016.

A copy of the consultation document is available on this site.  See: Rare burgers consultation document
