We’ve launched the Alumni Scholarship for 2027/8, which would take the place of the alumni discount for students going into their master’s degree only:
The scheme will provide the following tuition fee discounts for Reading Alumni:
- Home fee students: 20% reduction in tuition fees
- International fee students: £10,000 reduction in tuition fees
The scholarship will be automatically applied, so eligible students do not need to submit a separate application.
Please note that the International Stream cannot be combined with the University of Reading Excellence or Partner Scholarship/discount. The Home Stream can be combined with other applicable University of Reading scholarships, provided it does not exceed the total tuition fee.
The scholarship applies to eligible full-time and part-time master’s programmes, with Dual and Flexible/part-time modular master's programmes excluded. It is available for 2027/28 entry only and cannot be deferred. Though we are hoping to have this in place for future years.

The Alumni Discount still applies for Masters to PhD students however, and students going onto flexible mater’s courses. This Alumni “scholarship” is only for undergrad to full or part time two years master’s alumni.
