Responsibilities:
  • Work strategically with Schools to support, develop and promote the use of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL).
  • Deliver a staff development programme that enables staff to make effective use of TEL across a range of learning technologies, including Blackboard and Turnitin. This includes opportunities to engage with TEL in the FLAIR framework.
  • Support staff at in their implementation of TEL to enhance and enrich the student learning experience.

Background

I have a background in art and design, and moved into learning technology 13 years ago. I have worked at several UK Universities, and joined the University of Reading in January 2015.

My focus has been on the innovative use of technology as a mechanism for enabling active approaches to learning and teaching. This has included projects in blended learning, digital literacies, e-assessment, e-portfolios and open educational resources.
