Maintenance of the computer servers used in the School. Providing IT support, helpdesk and advice to users in the school. Maintenance of the backup systems. Support IT used in teaching and research in the school. Ensure access to shared resources and information is available wherever needed in the school in a secure manner.

Career History:

Went to Unilever to work in the Physical Chemistry department. Left to take BSc Life sciences degree at the Polytechnic of Central London. Worked for a while at Northampton General Hospital as a porter first in the Pharmacy department and later in the main operating theatre. Left to study electronics at Paddington College and later to get HNC in electronics at Reading College.

Came to the University of Reading in 1985 to work in the Food Studies physics workshop then moved to AMS to provide IT support.
