Professional Development & Short Courses

Many of our Masters programmes are in areas with direct relevance for particular professions and careers, and are offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.

We also offer other taught postgraduate programmes to meet the needs of particular applicants.

Short Courses

The University also offers a range of Short Courses for professional development in various subjects. The modular nature of our taught postgraduate programmes allows us to be responsive to particular specialist needs. These Short Courses are usually structured on a flexible basis, ranging from half-day seminars or courses held over a number of weeks, to week-long blocks of study, and to open and distance learning programmes. The possibilities on offer include specialist courses for those looking to acquire a particular skill and taster courses for those who would simply like to find out more about a particular subject area. Courses can often be tailored to meet the needs of the client and can be held at the University's residential training centre or on company sites.
