Joint Postgraduate Training Programme in Italian

Programme 2007-2008

The Programme provides general training sessions on research in Italian studies, with separate strands for first- and second/third-year research students. These take place in the morning, and are followed in the afternoon by reseach seminars in specific areas of Italian studies, where students are encouraged to present their research-in-progress. It is also an opportunity for meeting and networking between both students and staff.

Sessions will take place this year on the following dates:

FIRST DAY: Friday January 18, 2008 (Cambridge): click here for details;

SECOND DAY: Friday 7 March, 2008 (Oxford):  click here for details;

THIRD DAY:Friday 9 May, 2008 (Reading):  click here for details.

Postgraduate students from other universities are generally welcome to attend, but please check first at the email address below.

The Joint Programme is a partner in the AHRC Research Training Network in Modern Foreign Languages run by the Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies. While funds last, students in Joint Programme departments can claim up to £20 in travel expenses to attend research training events at institutions in the Network. For information about events, see the IGRS  Research Training Events Portal. To claim expenses,  fill out the reimbursement form and return it to the IGRS as instructed.
