Everyone's Tomorrow. Join a University that’s Doing Something About It.
With the world in the grip of a deadly virus we, like many other universities are working hard to help tackle the pandemic. From studying the virus itself, to supporting our NHS with donations of time, equipment and resources we are proud to be doing what we can.
The immediate threat of COVID-19 will go away, but it isn’t going to take any of our planet’s other problems with it. We will still be faced with the huge challenges of global warming, hunger and floods. There will still be endangered species to save, inequality to redress and a deeper understanding of mental wellbeing to be found. Our University’s work in all these areas is what really sets us apart from others. We are collectively driven to deliver a better tomorrow for everyone and everything.
We look to improve futures everywhere, like pioneering ways in which our University can become totally sustainable. Our ambition is to be the ‘greenest’ university in the UK, with a commitment to being carbon neutral by 2030. In fact, 100% of our electricity has come from renewable sources since 2009.
From campaigns to ban plastic straws and all of the University’s fossil fuel investments to launching an Environment and Ethics Network, our students continue to leave their legacies. Join us and you’ll become part of a caring community that lives, learns and thrives together with one single aim – to make the world a better place for us all.
