Join a university that’s doing something about it
Like many other universities, we’ve played our part in tackling COVID-19 and we hope the threat will diminish with every vaccination given. Sadly, however, all the other problems that threaten both us and our world aren’t going to go away.
For everyone and everything
We’ll still be faced with the huge challenges of global warming, hunger and floods. There will still be endangered species to save, inequality to redress and a deeper understanding of mental wellbeing to be found. As one, our community is driven to deliver a better tomorrow for everyone and everything.
With people and our world at heart
We look to improve futures everywhere, like pioneering ways in which our University can become totally sustainable. Our ambition is to become the ‘greenest’ university in the UK, with a commitment to being carbon neutral by 2030. And, with our planet at its heart, we offer the option to study a climate science module as part of many of our courses.
We’re all equals
Our work on social equality is all-embracing. We're committed to ensuring that we are a welcoming University for our diverse and inclusive community. We’ve received awards for our gender equality, are listed as a Stonewall Top 100 employer and remain dedicated to social equity for every single one of our students and staff.
Play your part
Join us and you’ll become part of a caring community that lives, learns and thrives together with a single aim in common – to make the world a better place for us all.
