"We had really passionate lecturers and academics, who were really keen on helping us to expand our knowledge and give suggestions. As a student from China, I was far away from all my friends and family at home. But I stayed in halls in my first year, and that made me feel more comfortable. I also tried to join many University societies, doing all different sorts of activities with my new friends. Reading as a town was a really peaceful, clean and sociable environment to live and study, with many options for shopping, food and communication."
