Death of a student
If you are notified of a student death, whether on or off campus, in term time or vacation time, contact security on 0118 378 6300 ASAP. Please be prepared to provide them with as much information as possible.
The University will immediately appoint a member of Professional Services to act as the Case Officer who is responsible for ensuring all processes are carried out in an efficient, sensitive and timely manner.
The Case Officer will support you with any further instructions that may be relevant. It is important that processes are followed in a systematic manner therefore you should NOT disseminate any information or take any other action until you have been briefed.
