Sustainability is an issue of particular relevance in the 21st century, impinging on aspects of how we live our lives. The focus of this lecture is sustainable buildings, and the lecturer looks at the various factors which need to be considered in the construction of a building in order to make it user-centred, while as the same time sustainable. He examines the concept of sustainable knowledge, and looks at work which has been done to make buildings more sustainable, taking us through the life-cycle of a building.
