We set aside a range of rooms at different price points across our Whiteknights Campus specifically for Clearing applicants.

University accommodation provides a safe and secure environment for you to live, study, meet friends and socialise as part of a supportive community.

You are welcome to visit our university.

• Get a feel for living and studying at Reading on our Virtual Experience Hub, where you can explore our campuses, view inside departmental buildings, facilities and accommodation using our 360 tours, or watch one of our students show you around.
• Our Virtual Events give further insight into our courses and subject areas, as well as dedicated sessions providing practical support about applying to university. You can watch previous events as well as sign up for future events.
• Check out the local area. Reading is a vibrant and diverse community, and as a central train hub to the southwest, southeast, midlands, and London, our students find travelling home or to other parts of the UK really convenient.

If you have already applied for student finance and then change your course/university through Clearing, you’ll need to let the relevant student finance authority know as soon as possible.

For example, to let Student Finance England (SFE) know, log into your SFE online account and then select: Your Account, Change your application, University/college, and course.

If you get a place through Clearing and haven't yet applied for a student loan, you can apply for a loan via the SFE online service.

There's a different process if you're a student from Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, so please check with your relevant student finance authority.

You can register with our Disability Advisory Service (DAS) as soon as you have accepted an offer to study with us.

To register, you will need to fill out the DAS registration form found on the Student Portal. We encourage all incoming students to ensure that they fully understand what is expected of them on their chosen course and to register with the Disability Advisory Service (DAS) well in advance of the start of their course to discuss the adjustments and support that might be required, and which are possible to help them make the most of their studies.

Once you have registered, you will hear from DAS by email.
