The application process and how to apply

Your offer of accommodation will take into account the period of your registration on the Study Abroad Programme at Reading.

Apply in three easy steps:

  1. Once you have accepted the official offer of a place on the Study Abroad Programme, log into the accommodation portal.
  2. Select Academic Year 2022/23, Part-Year, Undergraduate, Study Abroad
  3. Select your preferences. The more preferences you select, the better we can try to match your requirements

You need to apply by 1 August if you’re planning to start your course in September and 1 December if you’re planning to start your course in January.

If you are registering for the programme for the full Academic Year (September to June) we will be able to make you an offer of accommodation once your academic offer is unconditional

If you’re coming for less than a full Academic Year you will be notified from mid-August onwards (September start) or December (January start)

You will need to pay a £250 damages deposit upon accepting your offer of accommodation. You will not be able to accept your offer of accommodation without paying the deposit.

If your institution is sponsoring you for your accommodation deposit, please contact the Accommodation Office using the details below before accepting your offer. We will need to confirm that your institution is sponsoring your deposit before you are able to accept your offer.
