Travel and transport information

Detailed information about how to get to the University campus can be found on our maps and how to find the University of Reading pages.

Travelling by car and parking

We recommend you use the Shinfield Road entrance to the University (see link to the Whiteknights map above) and follow event signs to the Palmer Building. Although all parking on campus is free of charge with no permit required after 5.00pm, we advise guests park in car parks 3 and 4 (P3 and P4 on the Whiteknights map). Once parked, guests are invited to make their way to the Palmer Building (1 minute walk). The route will be signposted.

Public transport

The University is served by excellent public transport links. Bus and train information is given on the University website, see the link above. The mainline train station is served by a direct link bus service to the campus. The bus route travels through the Whiteknights campus; guests are advised to alight at the Whiteknights House bus stop. Guests can then follow event signs to the Palmer Building from here.
