I joined the Department of Politics and International Relations in October 2015. I received a PhD in political science from the Free University Berlin (2009), a master's degree from the University of Tübingen (2004), and a Diplôme from Sciences Po Paris (2002).
Prior to arriving at the University of Reading, I was a senior research fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and a visiting scholar at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University, a senior visiting fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies (Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich), and a visiting professor at the University of Potsdam.
