Areas of Interest:

Ramin graduated from Kingston University and is a Pre-registration Pharmacist. During his training year in community pharmacy, he completed his health champion course, accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health, allowing him to provide evidence-based information to his patients and the general public.

Ramin’s research interests primarily lie in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice where he’s undertaking a PhD exploring the experiences of pain and pain management in elite athletes and the general population with chronic pain.

He’s also passionate about Pharmacy education. In 2018, Ramin’s MPharm research project explored how institutional factors contribute to performance on the GPhC exam (Pharmacy licensure exam) with a focus on course structure. Ramin looked at a number of factors which could play a role, such as BME status, Place of pre-registration training trying to answer key questions: Are institutions making it easier for students to progress and what are institutions priorities? His research comprised the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods. His work was commendable and thus was invited to present at the HEASTEM horizons national conference at the University of Hull 2018.
