Valerie Walker obituary

We very much regret to announce the death of Valerie Walker.

Valerie joined the University in 2006 as a Secretary. She then fulfilled many administrative roles within the School of the Built Environment, Marketing, Communication and Engagement and the School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences.

Her final position at the University was as a Senior Invigilator, and she left the University in June 2022.

Valerie sadly passed away a few weeks ago after suffering from dementia. We will remember her as a passionate member of the University Choir, and for her commitment to the Women’s Club in Reading and her love for music.

Valerie's funeral will be held at the St Andrew’s Church, Sonning, on 10 October at 3pm.
