University appoints visiting fellows to Business School team – University of Reading

The University of Reading Business School is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Kennedy and Dr. Neil Turner to visiting fellowships in the Department of Real Estate & Planning. Both bring expertise in international commercial real estate and property portfolio analysis and will contribute to education and research at Reading. Dr. Paul Kennedy is Head of Research - Europe for INVESCO Real Estate, having previously worked for Henderson and Parkes & Company. He co-ordinates market forecasts and market research to support investment strategy and management. He serves on industry committees for, amongst others, the Investment Property Forum and the Society of Property Researchers. He obtained his doctorate from Nottingham Trent University in 1998. Dr. Neil Turner is European Portfolio Manager for Alecta Investment Management, responsible for the management of a direct and indirect real estate portfolio valued at some €1bn. Previously he worked in Frankfurt for Weatherall Green & Smith and was head of research at Henry Butcher & Company. He co-ordinated the SPR European Special Interest Group. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a qualified surveyor and has a doctorate from the University of Glamorgan. Its research was assessed as "international quality" at the last national Research Assessment Exercise while its teaching quality received excellent status. Around 400 students are currently studying for real estate and planning degrees at Reading. Academic staff are prominent in industry and professional committees and regularly present at property and planning conferences and seminars. The Department is part of the newly formed University of Reading Business School which also includes the Departments of Economics and Management and the International Securities and Markets Association Centre.
