Overview

Module aims and purpose

Summary module description:

This is an evidence-based coaching practitioner focussed programme based around the International Coach Federation (ICF) Level 2 Professional Certified Coach (PCC) competencies to deepen coaching skills and expertise and support external professional coach level accreditation with the ICF. It is aimed at those coaches who wish to advance their coaching practice, build on their initial coach education, and work towards ICF PCC credential. The Professional Certificate in Advanced Coaching Practice will focus on moving participants from ‘doing’ coaching to ‘being’ a coach, which requires a deep sense of self-awareness and comprehensive grasp of the core coaching competencies with a working knowledge of the application of behaviour change theories. It is a highly experiential programme with extensive coaching practice and reflective practice, alongside input and discussion on psychological theories. The programme is based on blend of face-to-face workshops (delivered either in-person or live-online) with asynchronous online learning, and online coach mentoring integrated throughout the learning pathway.

• Evaluate their own, and others coaching competencies against the appropriate benchmark

• Critically reflect on their own development throughout the programme through a practice of self-reflection
