Summary module description:

The module is a learning opportunity designed to expose research students to important pedagogical practices, develop awareness of other teaching efforts on Henley Business School, and provide a venue for faculty and external experts to share and learn about best instructional practices taught by the Principal Fellow of Higher Educational Academy (PFHEA). This module provides insight into the practical application of pedagogy in business teaching, reflecting The UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) dimensions. The module will grant credit to research students completing the necessary requirements for the Teaching Qualification Certificate which will in addition include the completion of sections Preparing to teach: Introduction to teaching and Learning (run by CSQT). All students will receive Henley Business School Certificate of Attendance. The convenor of the module will act as a teaching mentor for all students enrolled to the module.

Aims:

  2. To update research students’ notions of pedagogical achievements as well as challenges in business learning;

  3. To provide research students with pedagogical information and tutorial plans on selected business topics.
