Innovative Language Teaching and Learning at University conference

Shaping Futures for Modern Languages in Higher Education

We’re innovating. What now?

The Department of Languages and Cultures at the University of Reading is delighted to host the 11th annual conference in the Innovative Language Teaching and Learning at University series. It will take place on Friday 17 September 2021 as a virtual conference.

The last year has tested us like never before. It brought new and exciting opportunities, but also offered unprecedented challenges, highlighted problems and deepened inequalities. What is more, it confirmed that those of us involved in language teaching are innovative, engaged and student focused.

For InnoConf21, we want to assess and evaluate 2020/21 and look to the future, or rather all the possible futures for Modern Languages. How do we continue to move forward in language teaching and learning after the recent acceleration of technological innovation? What success stories do we have? What best practice can we share? What shape do we envisage language teaching and learning will take in the months and years to come?
