From April 2017 until Autumn 2019 Library study space and services are located in the URS Building (Urban and Regional Studies Building) whilst the Library building is refurbished.  Some floors of the Library are closed throughout this work.  For more information, and the latest news, see Library Refurbishment Project.

URS Building

All floors are shown on the URS floor plans and directory (PDF).

Ground Floor

Course Collection; Group study rooms; Information Desk; IT Service Desk; IT facilities including printers; Maths Support; Silent study room; and Study Advice.

2nd Floor

Group, quiet and silent study rooms; and Café Libro.

3rd Floor

Staff offices

Library Building

Ground Floor
CLOSED (except for access) - most services and facilities on this floor have been moved to the URS Building whilst the Library is refurbished. It is still possible to access the printed materials on the upper floors, borrow and return items, and get limited assistance from the Help Point.

1st Floor 
CLOSED for refurbishment - all services and facilities on this floor have been moved to the URS Building.

2nd Floor (PDF)
Science and technology materials; Arts and humanities normal size books; printing/copying/scanning facilities; and Information Desk.

3rd Floor (PDF)
CLOSED for refurbishment - all materials from this floor have been relocated to the 2nd and 4th Floors.

4th Floor (PDF)
Social sciences materials; Arts and humanities folio size books; EDC; Music CDs; Teaching Practice Collections; printing/copying/scanning facilities; and Information Desk.

5th Floor 
CLOSED during refurbishment - silent study space is available in the URS Building.
