SCONUL Summer Vacation Access Scheme

If you are a student from a higher education institution in the UK or Ireland whose library is a SCONUL member you may access the University of Reading Library during our vacations.

If you are a part-time, distance learning or placement student you may be able to borrow from us by using the SCONUL Access scheme.

What can I get at Reading under this scheme?

You will have access to printed stock in the Library and photocopying facilities. Access to materials in Special Collections may be possible. Please enquire at least 24 hours before any intended visit.

Borrowing privileges and access to electronic databases are not included in this scheme.

Access to the University's computers and network is possible only after registration with IT. Application forms are available from the IT Service Desk on the First floor of the Library.

Please bring your Library card from your home institution with you to the Library.
