Inter-library loan costs
You do not need to pay for the majority of your inter-library loan requests but we do charge for some additional services - please see below for details.
Renewal of loans
If you require a renewal please Contact us a few days before your item is due - it isn't possible to renew online via your Library account. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library so are not always possible. If you wish to renew a book after its due date has passed you will have to pay the overdue fine and the cost of the renewal.

Paying for inter-library loan charges
Charges will be added to your Library account - you may pay online via the Campus Card Portal, or by Credit/Debit card in person at the Welcome Desk on the Ground Floor of the Library or by calling (0118) 378 8770.
If you would like to pay using a University School / Department account, please Contact us with details of the University Project Code to use, e.g. A1234567

If you fail to return an inter-library loan item, you will normally be charged the replacement cost of the item, but please note that the British Library charges a standard lost book rate in excess of £180 If you know you have lost your inter-library loan, please let us know as soon as possible. |
