The archive is held within the British Cartoon Archive which holds other British Cartoonists’ work.

You can download the images directly from the catalogue - if you require a higher resolution image please contact the British Cartoon Archive direct.

Scope

A digitised collection of artwork, files and related documents from British cartoonists including materials from the studio of cartoonist Carl Giles. and other British cartoonists

Includes:

  • original artworks for the cartoons
  • reference files of photographs and cuttings
  • business correspondence with the Daily Express, Sunday Express and others
  • 'studio correspondence' with readers and admirers
  • general and family correspondence
  • a reference book collection
  • an almost complete set of Giles annuals, cards, photographs, films and objects.
