  • teaches one-to-one maths drop-in sessions
  • teaches maths workshops
  • develops resources to support student learning
  • contributes to the Maths Support Centre website and maintains the Blackboard pages
  • liaises with departments across the University

Areas of Interest

Philip studied Mathematics at university, and gained his PhD from the University of London, writing his thesis on topics in the history of mathematics and the history of philosophy. Before coming to Reading, he taught in schools, colleges of further education, adult education institutes, and the Open University.
