Areas of Interest
Linda has worked in science research, social research and education. After gaining a BSc. Honours Degree in Biochemistry (Queens University, Belfast) Linda worked for several years in science research. After gaining her Master's Degree in Citizenship, Democracy and Political Theory (University of Southampton) she went on to work in social research. In 2007, Linda moved into the education sector where she specialised in teaching and assessing students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)/Dyslexia.
Linda has a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training, and a Postgraduate Diploma in SpLD/Dyslexia; she has several years' experience as a Specialist Support Tutor for both Further and Higher Education students. Linda looks forward to drawing on her varied background and teaching specialism to support students from a broad range of backgrounds and disciplines at the University of Reading.
