Request for filming/photography in the Library

To help expedite requests for filming and photography, please fill in the following details and select 'submit'. Your form will be sent to the Library email (library@reading.ac.uk) in the first instance.

*Please let us know more about the purpose of the filming/photography. We request that areas where works are underway be avoided in any shots taken. *What is your proposed date and time for the filming/photography to take place? Please be aware that we need to notify Library users when filming or photography is taking place so that we can ensure that appropriate signage is in place to alert them. This needs to be done the day before, and the day of, the filming/photography.

*If filming/photography needs to take place during core hours, please tell us more about the requirement - for example, please state if it is for promotional literature for the University, or for part of a course assessment.

*Can you identify/advise on any specific areas that you would like to film/photograph before your visit? Please provide as much detail as possible (eg floor, location and extent of area(s) which will be needed). This helps us to ensure that it is clear to other users that a filming/photography is taking place.

*Are you bringing bulky equipment/kit? Yes No

*If yes, please tick to confirm that you will ensure the safety of other Library users eg by not trailing cables, etc..

*Please confirm that you are aware that we may have local restrictions and or specific guidance in place at the time of your visit. Yes No You must be prepared to abide by any restrictions/guidance in place and or may be required to reschedule filming/photography.
