Bio:
I joined the IWLP at UoR in 1995, having previously been Deputy Head of Department in a secondary school. I have taught German and French in IWLP, as an Open University lecturer and in in-business contexts, as well as teaching German on the DMLES undergraduate programme. At UoR, my main pedagogical interests have included staff development, independent learning and the development and dissemination of good teaching methodology. I am Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

A few personal comments:
My interests include walking (preferably among mountains!), history, reading and listening to and performing music.
