The technical support available to core specialist area equipment compliance & maintenance

Services include...

  • Liaising with E&F and contractors to facilitate legislative checks on LEV such as fume cupboards and microbiological safety cabinets
  • Liaising with E&F and contractors to facilitate legislative checks on pressure equipment such as autoclaves (including Performance Qualification (PQ)
  • Liaising with E&F and contractors to facilitate working at height and lifting gear compliance
  • Carrying out local checks on LEV equipment such as monthly airflow checks on microbiological safety cabinets*
  • Carrying out local checks on working at height equipment such as ladders*
  • Carrying out local checks on manual handling equipment such as trolleys*
  • Managing of defined equipment breakdowns and disposals*
  • Managing service contracts*
  • Asset tracking*
  • Communicating and planning with users to minimise downtime when equipment compliance checks are required
  • Carrying out gas regulator checks* and advising on replacement
  • Collating insurance inspection reports*
  • Managing document system
