Recruitment for Research and Teaching & Learning Deans

University shield

We are pleased to announce that a recruitment process will start shortly for some Dean roles in Research and Teaching & Learning. All these are existing senior leadership roles where the post-holder is about to complete their term.

We are looking to recruit for 5 roles in all, with a start date of 1 August 2021:

  • Research Dean for Heritage and Creativity
  • Research Dean for Agriculture, Food and Health
  • Three Teaching and Learning Deans

What are we looking for?

If you have a strong track record of leadership, a genuine interest in developing collaborative and sector-leading practices across our University and demonstrable experience of encouraging greater diversity and inclusion, we would encourage you to apply.

As we embark on implementing the new strategy, these roles require leadership that fosters a culture where colleagues feel valued, are encouraged to continue making positive contributions, are challenged when required and provided opportunity and support to achieve their potential.

Our University is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce and receiving applications from the widest range of backgrounds will help us recruit a diverse and inclusive senior leadership.

Given the under-representation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic colleagues in leadership roles, we are particularly keen on applications from these groups. We also welcome applications where a flexible working pattern and/or job-share is proposed.

The Research Dean roles will be advertised on Monday 7 December with the Teaching & Learning Dean roles being advertised in the new year. All roles will be advertised internally only in the first instance.
