Parent and Family Network online events
Wednesday, 25 November 2020
The Parent and Family Network have got two online events coming up, including one this week - all are welcome to join.
Adoptive Parents monthly lunch
The Parent and Family Network Adoptive Parents Group is a discussion and support space for colleagues with adopted children, as well as anyone considering adoption in the future.
They will be having their next monthly lunch meet-up on Thursday 26 November, 12:00-13:00 on Microsoft Teams. For more information, please contact Sophie Payne.
Flexible Working coffee morning
Over the last few months many of us have been forced to find new ways of balancing work and family life and the concept of ‘flexible working' has become increasingly relevant. But who has the right to request flexible working? What are the different options available? How can you best arrange your working hours around childcare and other responsibilities?
Join us for an online coffee morning all about flexible working on Wednesday 2 December at 11:00. We will be joined by Professors Grace James and Liz-Mari Welman from the School of Law, who will talk about the right to request flexible working. We will also hear from a panel of colleagues who will explain the different flexible working arrangements they use and how they work for them. Following this there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion with other members of the Network.
Everyone is welcome to join us for what should be an interesting and useful session and you can register by filling in this short online form.
Join the Network
The Parent and Family Network brings together parents and parents-to-be from all across the University. It aims to provide information and support to colleagues who are parents or have any other form of caring responsibility for children or young people.
New members are always welcome. To find out more, visit our Diversity and Equality Networks page or join the Network on Microsoft Teams via this link.
