Voluntary redundancy scheme closes Friday

University logo

The University's voluntary redundancy scheme will close for applications on Friday 20 November.

You can find full details of the process, timeframes and worked examples on our voluntary redundancy FAQs.

Colleagues interested in applying for voluntary redundancy should use this online form to begin an application.

All requests will be considered against the over-arching managerial interest:

a. to ensure the University's over-arching financial strength and sustainability.

b. to continue to provide the best possible student experience.

c. to optimise the University's returns to the REF, the TEF and other strategically important rankings.

As a result, requests may be declined where the loss of the post, which cannot be replaced for 24 months, will impact significantly on the School or Function's ability to deliver core activity or planned priorities.

All applicants will receive confirmation of whether their application has been accepted or rejected in early January 2021.

Those who are granted voluntary redundancy are anticipated to leave the University by 31 July 2021, having worked their full notice period before that date.

Please see our voluntary redundancy FAQs for full details. If you have any questions, please contact your Head of School or Function or email
