T&L Awards and funding schemes currently open
Thursday, 27 February 2020
We would like to remind colleagues that the University Collaborative Awards for Teaching & Learning scheme is currently open for applications until 17:00 on Monday 2 March 2020.
These awards recognise and reward groups of staff who have made exceptional, significant and ongoing contributions to the student learning experience. The scheme is open to all staff who are involved in teaching and have been actively supporting teaching and learning initiatives. Students can also be included as full members of a project team.
Examples of collaborative work might include:
- A group who have worked together to substantially re-develop an existing module in an innovative way (i.e. not business as usual)
- A group who have identified and designed new ways of working that support student learning
- A group who have developed innovative extra/co-curricular opportunities that enhance student learning and development
Please visit the Collaborative Awards scheme page to view the criteria and guidance for applications, and to access the application form.
The Teaching and Learning Enhancement Projects (TLEP) Scheme 2020 (previously known as the ‘Mini Projects’ scheme) is also open for applications until 17:00 on Monday 16 March 2020.
The TLEP scheme is open to all staff who are involved in teaching and/or supporting teaching and learning. It offers 'start-up' funding of between £500 and £2,500 to encourage and enable staff to experiment and/or develop practice, based on the belief that small projects can be significant catalysts for enhancement and improvement.
TLEP projects can address any aspect of teaching and learning or support for teaching and learning. This can be done either through direct contact with students by, for example, developing an aspect of your teaching practice, or through indirect interaction, which could involve developing new ways of working that support student learning or improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing ways of working.
Please visit the TLEP scheme page to view the criteria and guidance for applications, and to access the application form.
If you have any queries about either scheme, please email cqsd-tandl@reading.ac.uk.
