Volunteers needed for Summer Graduation
Wednesday, 26 February 2020
Volunteers are needed to help at our Summer Graduation ceremonies on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July. We would be extremely grateful if you could spare some time to volunteer at these landmark events.
What is needed from me?
We need your support in ensuring that each day runs smoothly. By this, we mean filling a wide range of roles, including hosting guests, answering queries and acting as a marshal.
Each day will comprise of five or six ceremonies, with each lasting around an hour. The ceremony schedule will be published on Essentials in early April.
Marshals may be needed from 08:00-18:00, but timings may vary depending on the role allocated. If you can't volunteer for a full day, you can arrange to do a shorter shift. And there's no need to worry about robes either - these will be hired for you (but you can bring your own if you would prefer).

Why is graduation important?
We all know that graduation is a quintessential part of the student experience, but it can be easy to underestimate just how important it is to our students and their families.
There is something truly special about the graduation experience, and it goes well beyond watching someone grace a stage for a few seconds. Playing a part in what you know to be a pivotal moment for students and their loved ones is immensely rewarding, which is why we encourage you to take part in any way you can.
