Did you know our Diversity and Equality staff networks are on Microsoft Teams?
Teams is quickly becoming a hub for communities within the University. From arranging coffee mornings to asking for advice, our networks play a valuable role in bringing colleagues with shared interests together.
To join, simply click on the links below. Your request may need to be approved by each respective Team owner, so there may be a slight delay.
- Parent and Family Network: The Parent and Family Network is designed to be a source of information-sharing and support for working parents and parents-to-be. It has been set up by parents, for parents, and is open to all colleagues who have, or care for, children (of any age) or who expect to in the future.
- Staff Disability Network: The Staff Disability Network is an inclusive support network for colleagues with a range of disabilities, impairments and / or mental health conditions, as well as non-disabled staff with an interest in disability issues.
- LGBT Plus Staff Network: LGBT Plus is an inclusive support network for individuals identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, as well as other sexual and gender identities, and their allies.
- UoR BAME Network: The newest of our networks, UoR BAME Network provides a supportive space for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic colleagues at the University.
The Women@Reading Network - our gender equality network - will also be available on Teams shortly. We'll be sure to let you know when it becomes available.
If you're already a member of any of our Diversity Networks, please note that the use of Teams will not replace any existing communication method (unless already discussed by the Network).
You can find out more about our Diversity and Equality networks over at our Diversity and Equality networks page.
