Funding available for Erasmus staff programmes
Tuesday, 21 January 2020
Funding is available to support staff mobility within Europe via the Erasmus+ programme.
The 2020 funding, offered through our Erasmus & Study Abroad Office, is available under two streams:
- Teaching Staff Mobility (STA): enables you to teach at an Erasmus+ partner institution
- Staff Training Mobility (STT): enables you to receive training from a European organisation, including other universities.
One example of how funding could be used would be to support a teaching exchange between us and a European university. This could be especially useful for subjects or schools with existing teaching links, or those who wish to set one up.
Another way the funding could be used would be to support the attendance of a training course at another participating Erasmus institution (please note that conference attendance is not permissible under the scheme). You can find details of participating institutions at our Erasmus programme page, under the KA103 section.
The iMotion Erasmus Staff Training website lists some training opportunities currently offered by other EU higher education institutions. Participants can select ‘staff weeks' based on their specialist areas, or request to take part in a job-shadow.
Examples of staff weeks on offer are:
- University of Bergen, Norway, Staff Week (8-12 June 2020). Four areas of speciality are recommended: Climate, Finance, Library and Student Administration.
- University of Vienna, Austria, Staff Week (18-20 May). Areas of speciality: Library & Archives, Research & Career Development, International Office, Corporate Communications, Resources Management, Student Services, Conference and Event Management, Quality Assurance, Alumni Association.
There are many more staff weeks available - please see the iMotion website for further details and application deadlines.
If you are interested in participating and would like to find out more, please email our Study Abroad team.
