Network Week - Our networks

Colour photograph of hands linking together

This Thursday (9 May) was National Day for Staff Networks and each day this week we have been highlighting one of the staff networks at the University.

Today we hear from the co-chairs and chairs of the University's networks: Allan Lavalle (co-chair LGBT+ network), Claire Collins (chair of Women@Reading) and Yota Dimitriadi (co-chair of Staff Disability Network) to hear a bit more about their newtork and its work:

The Staff Disability Network is an inclusive support network for all staff with a range of disabilities, impairments and/or mental health conditions, as well as non-disabled staff with an interest in disability issues. You find out more about the network here.

The LGBT Plus network is an inclusive staff support network for individuals identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, as well as other sexual and gender identities, and their allies. LGBT Plus has a social and representative function and you can find out more here.

The Women@Reading staff network champions issues of gender equality across the University and is co-ordinated by a small committee that provides direction, builds awareness, organises events and communicates with University leadership. You can find out more here.
