Stage 1: Preparation

It is crucial that the planning and preparation stage of the recruitment process is done effectively for the appointment of a new member of staff to be a success. A Recruiting Manager will need to think about what their needs are and the best way to meet them.

If the vacancy is a new role the Recruiting Manager will need to think about the job purpose, responsibilities and experience that they are looking for. If the role is replacing an existing one they will need to consider if any changes need to be made to ensure that the job is fully effective.
