The laboratory is a recognised supplier of high-quality infrared optics to the international space research community, contributing both space qualified hardware and publications on infrared thin-film design and manufacture since 1965. The strength of the laboratory is in the ability and experience of a versatile team of thin-film engineers to design and manufacture specialist infrared coatings to the specific requirements of your instrument.

We are available to design and manufacture high precision custom made infrared optical filters in the 2-45µm range tailor made to suit your specification requirements. We are able to deposit thin-film coatings on a wide variety of substrate materials and sizes to suit.
