Professorial Annual Review 2022

The Annual Review will return to the online form this year but will look slightly different to the 2019 online form. Please refer to the Professorial Annual Review Online Form User Guide when completing the form.

All professorial colleagues are required to submit an online form, setting out their activities and achievements for the 12-month period up to 31 December 2021. The annual review provides colleagues with an opportunity to highlight their individual contribution in light of which an Advisory Group will recommend salary adjustments where appropriate; however, you are required to make a submission even if you are not expecting a salary adjustment. Failure to submit a form will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and must be agreed with your Head of School. The form must be submitted to your Head of School no later than 5pm on 10 February 2022, as the form will not be accessible after this date.

You can access the online form by logging in with your University username and password at If you wish to access the form from a computer that is not wired to the university network, you will need to connect using VPN first.

Please read the Professorial Annual Review Guidelines 2022 prior to completing the online form, paying particular attention to the “Key Points” section. 

Your submission will be reviewed by an Advisory Group. The process is subject to scrutiny by a lay member of Council, who will attend at least one meeting of the Advisory Group.

The timetable for the process is as follows:



Completion and submission of statement to Head of School by:

10 February 2022

Heads of School to check and counter-sign statements and submit to HR by:

23 February 2022

Advisory Group meetings to be held:

31 March to 21 April 2022

Remuneration Committee meeting:

7 June 2022

Formal outcomes communicated no later than:

30 June 2022

Effective date for salary increases:

1 August 2022


Formal outcomes will be notified by the Director of Human Resources. Any salary or zone adjustments arising will be given effect retrospectively, as appropriate. Requests for feedback should be addressed to your Head of School in the first instance.

Please remember that the form must be submitted to your Head of School no later than 5pm on Thursday 10 February 2022.
