Guides for Students
As a doctoral researcher, you may find that there are some issues or aspects surrounding your studies that are either particular causes for concern or that are more shrouded in mystery than others. To help address these, the Graduate School has produced a number of guides which complement formal University policy documents and are designed to give you a more informal view on the topics on which we receive the most enquiries. Please note that these guides do not represent our formal policies, though they do not contradict those policies. Our doctoral researchers are encouraged to consult both the guides below and our formal regulations. We hope you will find them useful.
- Surviving the viva
- You and your supervisor
- Keeping on track: how we monitor & assess your progress
- Becoming a university academic
Further guides will be added to this section when available.
